the best way would be to hope there is space to add a CC or sysex command to toggle mutes by channel :/ on all Elektron devices. I've pretty much switched to just recording into SX2 as a glorified tapedeck and do the muting/unmuting manually. I totally understand why it needs to be easily externally controllable.
