and does the alloy casing make it more prone to these electrical problems?
(shocks, memory wipes) .. 

maybe rubber gloves or boots are in order for live gigs? 

oh yes.. i haven't done the filter input yet ..
how does it work? .. i mean, once you're feeding in, does the device act
purely as a filter?
