Michael, Here is the link to the post I made about the shotgun case: http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/elektron-users/message/12103 But basically, the only alteration I made to it was remove the side hinges and cut a small hole in the egg-crate foam in the lid to accomodate the joystick. I didn't cut away any foam around the encoders - but I suppose you could. I wanted a snug fit and it seems to travel fine that way. I've used the case a lot traveling to local gigs and studios. But as I mentioned in my original post, I wouldn't recommend heavy duty plane travelling with it. Incidently, I came up with a solution for heavy touring with the MD and MM-sfx60 tabletop version. I call it the Elektron Console: http://obliq.net/guestftp/elektron_console1.jpg http://obliq.net/guestftp/elektron_console2.jpg Here is the original post for details on it: http://www.elektron-users.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=385&forum=1 -nate http://obliq.net --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, "Michael" <mweeks@e...> wrote: > I know some people picked up this case for use with the MNM keyboard - > > http://www.wholesalehunter.net/outdoor_sports/TZ-Case/TZ-Case-TZSR53SS-Gun.html > > and I picked up this one, to use to hold an assortment of gear including either the MNM or > MD for live gigs: > > http://www.wholesalehunter.net/outdoor_sports/TZ-Case/TZ-Case-TZ0037SD-Gun.html > > > so I just got my case, and I'm getting ready to get my gear loaded into it. > > I notice that I have to take the bottom layer of eggshell out for the MD to fit, which leaves > it's back with little to no padding between it and the outside. > > I also notice that when I do it, theres a bit of pressure on the top of the MD from the top > layer of eggshell. > > My question to you: is the pressure ok on the encoders? or did you custom cut the top > foam to give a little room? > > I'm curious to know how you got the case working with the gear, let me know! > > /michael > www.endmusik.com
