I'm not sure what the 'code of silence' is.  There is an official UW 
thread on the Elektron-Users board that is intended to expose bugs in 
the current OS.  Elektron actively solicits bug reports.  Perhaps you 
should try reporting your problems to this list, the Web forum, and 
Elektron itself in order to move forward in correcting the issues you 
are experiencing.
