Replaced a POT on my MDrum this weekend....
Replaced it mostly for fun, and because i loosened one up last time i dissassembled my MD to do some other work inside......
The insides are pretty simple and replacing a pot only has you going 1 level deep into the machine....
I was about to desolder the potentiometer when i realized I could just take it apart....
probably the lazy method, but either would work...
At first I got out my de-soldering tube started to heat up some of the joints and relized maybe I should just do it lazy style since I had planned on using my MD later that evening...
I shot a quick video of my pot replacement, but it isnt very high quality...
Ive got some pictures of the inside of the unit if anyone is interested,
I have been toying with the idea of making a custom faceplate, but i'll save that for another day...

Subject: [elektron] Anyone ever self replace a pot ?
My volume pot is scratch and my freq knob is a bit
"wobbly". Anyone here ever replace one? I am not much
with a soldering iron myself but have electrical
engineer types on hand.
I've worked at this unventilated shit-prison 12 hours a day for nearly 25 years. I have developed no skills other than that of silently counting down the minutes of each workday while cursing my misfortune.
