Hi Andy,

I think you got kits and patterns a bit mixed there. I guess you're trying  
to copy patterns, right?
It's easy. Just go to the pattern you want to copy from (B04) and make  
sure you're not in the step record mode (otherwise you'll be  
copying/pasting tracks instead of patterns). Then hit [FUNC] + [REC] to  
copy the pattern, and go to the location you want to paste (D12). Then hit  
[FUNC] + [STOP]. That's it.

However, if you want to copy the *kit* as well, then you need to save the  
kit to another location in the kit memory, and it will become a duplicate.

In short: copying patterns is done using the [FUNC] + transport buttons,  
copying kits is done saving them in other kit slots.
