So, basically, this is the want/need: ability to do a user-upgrade to MK1 MD's & MNM's to allow for 64-step patterns. Preferably an OS-update, even if it's going to change the amount of patterns available in memory. Correct? I don't see what's wrong with selling your current machines and putting that money towards the MK2's. It would probably cost the same amount as an upgrade (unless it truly was a software update, in which case it would hopefully be free and optional).
