Yeah, I've had trouble with sync also. I didn't read all the manual... but I tried setting the source to both EXTERNAL 1 and EXTERNAL 2. 1 was definitely better than 2. At first, it was at a different speed, but after a couple of start-stop-start-stop, it matched speeds, and sounded fine from then on. Weird... And, the reported BPM on the Machinedrum was quite different from the BPM in my sequencer... something like 112 vs. 125 (but at this point it WAS playing in sync). Anyways, I still LOVE the machinedrum...ELEKTRON RULES! We're all beta testers ... and I think we're lucky to be able to communicate directly with Elekton and to provide input about this stuff. At first the sync is 'OK' but a little sloppy, but then after a few measures the MD seems to speed up a bit and the sync goes way off. then it drifts in and out of sync (mostly out of sync) the longer it plays. I have 5 or 6 other devices synced up to the same clock and they always stay very well-synced... they are even synced using the MIDI thru of the machinedrum and don't have any problems! Anyone else tried getting the MD to slave to MIDI sync yet? did it work well? I guess it's a good thing you can play a whole set with only the MD :) cheers ripe Your use of Yahoo!
