Yeah, the filtering is external, done on the RS7000.

I just got both of these machines, so I was just giving them a test drive :)
Live tweaking and muting...

I think that the MD would have been up to the filtering, all the stuff was
live, but unfortunately the sync slave of the MD is not as good as it should
be, so I have to move all the beats off onto the a sampler to record.

The grouping of parameters would be good, but if you really need to, you
could use MIDI and some controller, like a PC1600, or something I guess.
Then send out all the MIDI controller messages at once.
