I do see playing live as manipulating patterns of sequences, for example being able to play any number of measures of the complete pattern, switching through multiple sections at will, back and forth or in any combination while muting and unmuting tracks and doing real time beat stretching, floating harmonies, etc. etc. There are tons of capability for performance in the RM, but like anything else it is limited by personal style and creativity. Whatever works best for the individual in question is the only thing that matters.
