As for the knobs that wont press down anymore...have u tried pulling the cap 
up a little?
This happens every now and then on my MD with 2 of the knobs, every now and 
then ill be editing a little too hard and it wont press down anymore, so I 
gotta give the cap a pull and everythings fine

Anyway, protect it, last saturday 1 of my endless rotaries went to
MD-Heaven(broke away), and 2 other Rotaries are not able to be pressed down
to fasttweak the values anymore. Happened on a flight...
The MD is a little bit fragile, not exactly 'built like a tank', so take
care...
