RE: [elektron] assigning tracks to midi channels

2002-02-26 by Cryogenick

Woops, I read your e-mail wrong (/me puts down the bong ((IRC humor)))

Brent is right, to control your synth from the machinedrum simply go to the
kit edit screen and at the bottom of the "Synth" list you will find "MID"
And under "Machine" there will be "MID-01" through "MID-16"...each one for
each midi channel

You do need the latest OS for the machinedrum to do this, so make sure you
have 1.10 installed...if you don't, you can get it from the machinedrum
website on the support page

As I understand it this is now possible with the newest OS. It is called
"MIDI Machines" and it allows you to assign one or all of the parts/machines
to an external MIDI track on its own channel. You could have up to 16
different channels being triggered on your Nord (although I know it won't do
that. But then, of course, you wouldn't be using that wonderful Machinedrum
for its synthesis capabilities which would be a crime against humanity.

Now...can I have a Machinedrum? I'm doing tech support on a unit I don't
even own! ;-)
