Elektron Musical Instruments

well this ? may seem dumb but if I don't ask I wont know, my ? is 
this I want to get into making music but I want to stay away from 
computer's as much as possible, I want to try and keep my equipment 
all hardware if possible so I need to know if the M.D. can sequence 
the sound's of other gear like say a nord lead 2 which I will be 
getting tommorow, or would I need to get some other gear to sequence 
the sound's, and if I were to use just the M.D. and the nord lead 2 
what would be the best way to sync these together,. well thank's in 
advance for any info
