That buzz you have is loud! I think I can hear a _little_ bit of AC hum on my MD, and it's not dead silent as far as noise goes, but it's not nearly that bad. Maybe cleaner AC going into it would help. Remember that the MD's transformer is just an AC step down transformer so there's real AC going into the MD. This is just a guess but this may make it more sensitive to power problems than a comparable DC in device. Good luck!
