Hi all: It's nice to see some activity on this list. I wanted to add to a couple threads here: 1. I've had to replace my sid chip because I overloaded it when I thought I was well within a safe range. I was really surprised, I even had a limiter in the chain. BE CAREFUL. As much fun as the filter is, you might find that it is not as much fun as it is frustrating to be without your sid for a few weeks while it is repaired. 2. Buttons on the MD: I was surprised when I unpacked mine at the feel of the buttons. The pictures might lead you to expect a rubberised, bouncy feel. In fact the buttons are plastiky, and the action is what I would call "clacky": the sound when you tap them is part old school computer keyboard, part old school printing calculator. While I was surprised, I ultimately got to really like them. There is something satisfying about the way they clack under your fingers. And of course, the OS is so intuitive as to make you feel like you are communicating really easily with the machine. Just my two cents. cheers, Jason V S
