Re[2]: [elektron] Software tools for the MD

2002-07-09 by Adam Watson

I'd be happy to send over the minimal adaptation I have so far if
you'd like to try it out. As I stated before, so far its really only
good for backup and restore of select slots of data, instead of having
to do bulk dumps... but it is more convenient and time saving in this
manner. Also helps in being able to copy Global data to different
slots instead of recreating your MIDI maps by hand...

As for SoundDiver, I do not know what its fate will be for sure - who
really does? I can say, though, that since SoundDiver has a
Macintosh port, that it will probably remain alive - at least, for
that platform. From the sounds of the press releases, I don't think we
can count on a PC version being developed for far into the future, though.
Apple has made it fairly clear that the Windows line of software from
Emagic will no longer be developed for after September 30. On
Emagic's site, there is a statement that Emagic intends on providing
continuing service and support to Logic Windows owners... so maybe
we'll see support and maintenance for the current release of
SoundDiver?

Time will tell, I suppose...
