Actually, no... in rereading my post, my statement was just a little
unclear. Sorry about that. What I was intending to get at was that by
using NRPNs, all control change information could be processed by only
using a defined set of CCs on a single MIDI channel, versus filtering
and processing CCs across 4 MIDI channels. I probably should have used
a more appropriate term like "processing bandwidth" versus
"traffic"...

On the other side of the coin, I do appreciate Elektron using only
CCs, as this makes programming utilities or creating editors for the
unit much more straightforward than having to deal with NRPNs.

Still wonder what the real reason for not being able to record
Parameter Locks is, though...
