I had to do that for the ms2000 and I used a real cheap eidrol 
interface it kept turning off.  It was the 'in' and 'out' not 'thru' 
had to be connected.  Maybe even reload your midi interface 
software.  Recheck everything you can.  If it doesn't work just keep 
sending it.

It was difficult to update my korg.  I was so pissed cuz the thing 
wouldn't work for a couple hours.  The ms2000 group moderator made a 
program only for the ms just for this kind of thing.
