I have noticed the fading before.  It never really bothered me 
because it didn't seem to change the sound.  I have plugged in a 
microphone before.  I also have plugged in my Fatman into it.  I plan 
on putting its own outs to its own ins.  I wish I had more effect 
busses(is this the proper term)? on my mixer
