I have been sitting on this list for some time now just watching mainly. I don't own a machinedrum yet but it is my next purchase for sure. One of the major selling points of the machine for me is the 2 inputs and now seems like a good time to join in the discussion/ ask a few questions. I plan on hooking up my se-1 and xbase 09 to the inputs of the machinedrum. Will i be able to route the 2 inputs to different effects and parameters? Or are they connected as a stereo pair. How good are the converters? I know this is subjective. But if anybody knows what the sample rate and bit depth of the converters are it would help. thanks ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rui Peixoto" <rupix@...> To: <elektron-users@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 21, 2003 9:59 AM Subject: [elektron] inputs Hey! Just to say that the MD is great as a guitar processor. I plug the guitar directly and I can get great sounds out of it. I mean really great! you have to cut the high frequencies a bit because of the hiss, but then you can process it with all MD parameters. SRR, and filtering work great. FM as well. Not to mention the compressor effect on sustaining the tones, and the delay/reverbs you can use. You can make really great synced wah-wahs using the lfo\ufffds. Better than all this is that the signal is compressed together with the beat giving it the swing it needs. Try it, you won\ufffdt be disappointed! =) Great for experimenting and come up with new guitar sounds. _________________________________________________________________ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963 Your use of Yahoo!
