I think your problem is down to the buffer settings. go into the help file that comes with MIDI ox and change the settings of the buffers as described. Basically you need to shrink the size of the packets of data and increase the delay between each packet. Keep adjusting till it works (this applies to the MD as well. Hope this helps.
