Elektron Musical Instruments

Hi,
i am new to the group and want to purchase a Machindedrum.
I know that the pads are not velocity sensitive but can i use an external controller to play the sounds of the machindedrum with velocity and record that velocity information inside the Machindedrum sequencer?
