RE: Mono Audio Signal to Stereo - Digest Number 811

Thank you lepetitmartien@... for your suggestion

To answer Aaron's question: "use a splitting cable? we know the
sidstation is 1/4" -- what kind of inputs do you have on your mixer?"
Aaron J. Grier agrier@...

I currently have RCA connections on a DJ Numark mixer with only 6
channels. I am using a y-adaptor Quarter inch to RCA cable to connect to
my mixer. I use Logic Audio 5.5 however and can record the Sid Station
onto a mono channel in Logic, duplicate that channel, and then pan both
channels left and right. But some suggest just leaving the Sid Station
mono for lead or bass parts. I'd be curious to know others preference?
Ironically something as simple as a splitter box is hard for me to find
here in Austin, TX - of all places. Austin is supposed to be a music
capital so I find this ironic. It looks as though internet mail order is
my current option for a splitter box unless I am overlooking the obvious
like a local guitar shop. Behringer has the ULTRA-DI DI20 which is an
innovative active 2-channel DI-box/splitter but it has XLR outputs.

Unfortunately I do not have the extra time to buy a kit and build a
splitter. So any other advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sincerely,

Jeremy
