>My best experiences with the Sid have been when I'm letting it lead me in some direction, just turning knobs and making adjustments until I get something that sounds cool, rather than shooting to emulate a real-life instrument. Obviously! If I wanted to emulate a real-life instrument, I'd try to get a Korg or Roland synth. I do want the SidStation specifically for its weird and abstract sounds, and it will complement the Fizmo's very well I expect. But it would be good to have something that could do nice, realistic strings. The Hartmann Neuron's next on my list so I'm sure that should be able to do something string-like - and then turn that into a pipe organ! Col.
