VS: [elektron] Two songs based mainly upon MD sounds

2003-05-30 by Toni Ahvenainen

I liked the drumworks of first one. But especially I liked the future retro.
I have had a gearlush for 777 sometime ago and I think it's going to start
again if I listen these... :) I wonder if the coming monomachine could do
something as cool as 777? As for the songs they are little bit too long for
my taste and could use some more tonal elements. Allthought they are working
allright.

TOni.

Aihe: [elektron] Two songs based mainly upon MD sounds

Tvo examples of what you can do with the MD soundwise. Only internal
FX has been used. Compression has been applied afterwards though.

The tracks are quite monotonous, but I like them anyway. :)

First track - Crispy frog - techno/house
Bassline: Future Retro 777, through the MD
Vocal sample: Ensoniq Eps16+, through the MD to trash it (SRR + dist)
Everything else is MD.

Second track - Daabat - electro
Bassline: Future Retro 777, through the MD
Pads: Roland Juno-2, through the MD for extra sweeps and pan
Everything else is MD.
