Midi drift with table patches

2003-07-21 by Jennings, Preston

On that note, I've been getting a bit of midi drift when playing table
centric patches on the sid station. Using cubase sx I'm noticing that after
about 3-4 bars (at tempo 120) of a sustained SID note, the table is
noticeably out of alignment. So...

1) Are other people experiencing midi drift too?

2) Does it have something to do with OS versions? I'm at 1.11 R34 although
my machine was bought second hand and is probably one of the older sids
around.

And before somebody starts blaming cubase (which often enough is the right
candidate to blame), I have 3 other modules (virus, ms2000, and electribe)
which sync correctly to the midi clock.

I asked because early revisions of the sidstation software had problems
with MIDI sync signals.
