Ok good suggestion for attempting the sync to the electribe... I'll give that a shot tonight. SID is currently 'first' in the chain. I have a midisport 4x4 (4 midi in/out) and SID has its own dedicated midi line straight into the computer. All of my components are hooked up in this manner. Anyhow I haven't done much experimentation with the midi setup - I was just wondering if there were any noted problems with the machine itself. -----Original Message----- From: Joe To: elektron-users@yahoogroups.com Sent: 7/21/03 9:47 AM Subject: [elektron] Re: Midi drift with table patches --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, "Jennings, Preston" <prestonj@b...> wrote: > And before somebody starts blaming cubase (which often enough is > the right > candidate to blame), I have 3 other modules (virus, ms2000, and > electribe) > which sync correctly to the midi clock. which electribe is it? if it has a built-in sequencer, then why don't you try syncing the Sid to it to test if the Sid drifts? is the Sid at the end of the chain in that MIDI setup? that is, do you run Cubase->ms2000->virus->electribe->Sid (for example)? if so, maybe the MIDI signal is just getting progressively weaker and you're really just looking at propagation delay.
