Re: [elektron] Sidstation adapter?

2003-08-19 by Behn Humphrey

um... the Sid makes noise... but that's because of the Mos chip... they say
that they did a lot to quiet the noise of the chip down, but i still keep it
quiet when it's not playing in a track. i dunno about the adapter, mine
doesn't seem to crackle and i have the original adapter... the original
adapter is NEAT!!

if you email the support for elektron they'll let you know about getting a
new/original adapter. they are VERY responsive and helpful.

Subject: [elektron] Sidstation adapter?
Date: Mon, 18 Aug 2003 22:53:37 -0700

Hi folks,
I have just purchased a used Sidstation which is currently on its way
to me.

The former owner made the comment that he bought a new Radioshack
adapter for it because the Elektron adapters were not good quality and
caused crackling. Is this true? Or is he just making an excuse for the
non-original adapter?

Does Elektron sell the Sidstation adapters separately? I couldn't find
them on the web site.

Thanks!
-V
