Hey Joe, Thanks for your thoughts! Happily the problem is now solved! the previous owner called me back with directions for how to reset to the factory defaults, which cleaned out the memory, and then I was able to upload patches to the Sid. This is one wild and crazy synth. :-) !!! Thanks!!! -V
