I have just listened to the MTX demo, the one which uses sid emulation. I have a Sid and the filter seems "dirtier" than that in the mono. If you want the Sid sound, you have to own that old chip :-) Even the MD is somewhat emulating Roland TR machines, but we know that it doesn't sound just like a 909.
