You're going to laugh at me... The source of MIDI sync is a casio
cz230s, (a preset version of a CZ-101,) with program changes being
controlled from the sidstation console.
I checked this again tonight, and it appears that I don't even have to
change patches to get the sidstation to reboot.
so... in summary: with the cz230s sending MIDI sync to the sidstation
(no other MIDI devices in the picture at all, single cable from cz230s
out to sidstation in,) and the sidstation set for external MIDI sync, it
reboots, so long as I'm having the sidstation play notes. The crash
seems to more quickly if I play more notes.
