it might sound obvious but try the EQ to boost low frequencies. The EQ in the mono does 
a wonderful job when it comes to fatten up kicks and bass or add some sparkle to the hi 
end.
I also found that setting the hold time in the amp section to a musical value helps a lot to 
make a bassline sit better inside the groove.
