Slide parameter changes from one step to another. This sort of thing is accentuated well and highly noticeable if you place a trigger for a machine on step 1, and another on step 4... Use a machine that can have a very large delay, or one with large sustain (I think only the TRX-MA has a long sustain), and push it to the top. Then, lock parameters like mod frequency or mod depth or pitch or some such at extreme ends of their spectrums on step 1 then on step 4. Hit play.
