I've found that the easiest way to use it as an effects unit is to use
the gate machine.  you old need to trigger it once (i.e. you don't have
to have a sequence running all the time) to allow sound to come through
and then adjust it as needed and utilize the delay/reverb/filter. I do
this with my Sidstation all the time (to gate the noise as well as to
use the MD's effects).
