perhaps this should not be a reply-to but I need some advice 
regarding the topic.

i use logic (5.5.1) with my MD but im having issues with sync.  i 
want to trigger patterns written in the MD and sync to logic.  ive 
slaved logic to the MD and slaved the MD to logic but am having 
unacceptable timing issues (i use the amt8 serially <very reliable>), 
preventing me from using the MD with my other gear (samplers and 
whatnot).

in short, the MD (inconsistently) is shifted slightly out of time 
with the sequence (whether master or slave).  the timing does lock 
with the timing of the sequencer (and vice-versa).

anyone with a similar setup found a workaround/solution?  my MD is v 
1.12 (not B).
