andy, once you start talking about buying the tabletop + the microKontrol you're approaching the price of the keyboard MnM. I just sold a microkorg, and if the keys are anything like it they are not "bad" but not "good." I suspect they are identical. It is true, however, that the microkontrol does offer a lot in the line of other controls. As decisions go, however, noting that Damon mentioned selling his MnM - I bought it with the idea that, well, if I have the keyboard version I can experiment with using the keyboard and without using it. Should I not feel the keyboard earns its keep, the keyboard version can be resold to get a tabletop. My interest in the keyboard, as mentioned in another post, is the usefulness of the LED feedback above the notes. I also think the whole things looks very stylish, and I live for style and image. (ha.. ok I don't but it does look cool in one long box)... in my case, though, I am more interested in the hardcase discussion because I'm going to try to get the thing (and a MD) on a plane with me to israel. Has anyone had much experience travelling in and out of Israel with electronic gear? Coming through with a guitar as a carry on would not be hard, but I'm worried that they won't recognize what it is and somehow I will be slapped with some heavy VAT even if I am going to take it right back out with me once I'm done with school. Wonder if one of those rifle cases would keep the joystick happy...man i wish that was able to be removed. I'm not going to sit in another country for two years without any gear though. software has limitations and makes me twitch.
