it might be something with the way that the files were dumped originally.
I've had similar troubles with online MD Sysex files until I spoke with their
creator and used the same MIDI utility he had (MIDI-OX).

also try fooling with the rate at which the messages are sent to the MD, it
*might* be screwing up if they're sent too fast or slow.
