Elektron Musical Instruments

i keep noticing the chip count go down on the sidstaion web 
site...and I was wondering, sense elektron hasn't gotten back to me 
on this question. they state that as the supply gets lower, the price 
will get higher.....if anyone has this info, what status of chip 
supply would result in a price increase on the sid station, thanx
