Machine drum kits (groupings of the MD synths) and their associated patterns are directly linked, almost one in the same. A kit dictates which types of MD synthesizers (snares, kicks, etc) are used along with their respective root (original) parameter settings. The sequence holds the instructions for how the MD synths in the kit are to be played. The line blurs because of parameter locks. A single MD synth can have many different "patches" in the same sequence. This is what gives the MD its unique dynamics and sound. The closest to a classical "patch" per se, would be to copy a note in the sequence that has the desired parameter settings, and paste it wherever you want. There is not a storage area for these saved notes, only kits and sequences. Is this way, the machine has no patches and has tons of patches. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
