CD Release with Elektron Gear

2004-09-28 by Michael

After getting my machinedrum and monomachine in march, they quickly became staples
in my writing process, so I hope this isn't too offtopic :D They were used liberally in
several tracks on this release, so if you're looking for something to listen to, check this
out!

I'm pleased to announce the imminent release of the newest album by The Wretch -
"Ambulatory | a new kind of sickness - a new hope for comfort"

"Ambulatory | A new Kind of Sickness - a new hope for comfort" explores further what was
started with "Cyst" - it's a hybrid of noisecore, drum'n'bass, and noiseambient, combined
together into an album that travels into unrelenting rhythms, stereo mangling, incidental
noises and nuances that will take months to understand but will impact immediately.
Almost a tradition now - this album ends with a frantic remix of "Alerting" by
Biomechanoid.

Ok, enough with the press release - I've got a project, it's neat. It's noisecore/chaos stuff,
with a bit of noiseambient and drum and bass mixed in, it's new, it's different, it'll make
you hump your own leg.

Check out the site here - http://www.thewretch.com for audio samples and other info!

Visit the shop section to preorder the limited CDR release of the album - edition of 50
with a bonus disc of live improvisation, plus DVD packaging and a miniposter.

The first album is available from http://magnatune.com/artists/wretch - you can listen to
the full albm via mp3 stream, and purchase it as a download. The new album should be
available via magnatune shortly.

enjoy the tracks! and if anyone in the NYC area is promoting live noise/laptop shows - I'd
love to get in touch!

take care,

Michael Weeks
