As long as they give me sync-24 s\ufffd I can synchronize the now box with
my old Roland gear. Then I will be satisified.

If they made a "live" mode for the MD it would be even better. A mode
where you can assign controls for different sounds to the eight
buttons to use for tweaking. This would make it extremely useful for
live usage, especially for techno.

Time to start saving up the money to buy one!

So what's the verdict after hearing the audio clips. I think the kicks/bass
sounds good and most of the highs are alright. I don't know about that clap
though...

I think it sounds great, a different characteristic to the sound than other
drum-machines. I look forward to hearing the other two machines tommorow.

I was going to post a few days ago that, unless their kicks are as good as
infected mushroom's (www.infected.co.il) then it wouldn't be worth it for
me. I mean, it's a digital machine, it should do awesome digital kicks..

I didn't hear anything near good enough so far, but I'll wait to see what
else they've got tucked up their sleeves...

And I guess they were trying to do something different with drum sounds,
so we'll see...

hmmm...just listened to the samples. to me, they seemed a bit drab..u know?
needs some spice. hey elektron....u guys better of put some goddamn part
selectable time delay in there.......:) and how about sending me one of
those boxes , as to acctually dive in deep and truely pull out some totally
fucked up tones....

anywayz...what caught my attention was the modulated tones between the drum
beats...now, if those are completely controlable and tweakable...i might
take a deeper enterest in the box.. we'll see though, when it finally comes
out :)

-sean

ps.. give it a cool as color.. silver is getting to boring on the eyes in
music setups...needs to stick out and say "HEY!!! I'M THE MACHINE DRUM" or
soemthign like that...anywayz...bye

Yeah, I was kind of expecting more too. I think it will be one of those
things that really shines once you sit down with it and learn how to
navigate around the OS and mess with the sounds. I hope its not going to be
another Korg ER-1 though....... :(

Well, nothing to give you a real boner for the moment, but these are
the first samples, and I guess (!Hope!) we have seen nothing yet. The
kicks were good, some bleeps were nice, but my biggest wish is for the
perfect snare ! Do us some reeeaaaal SNaPPy snare that gets a head
go... you know... when listening to a walkman, and like the snare
comes, and your eyes just blink because the snare is like a
microscopic brain shock, and if it's live, it's your whole head that
goes like blink, as far as a head can blink... You know ?
That's the snare I talkin' 'bout. Fierce as a whiplash!
That's the snare I'm talkin' 'bout.
