What? We have 2 forums now? I get a feeling that you and scott were
first one to start work and now this one is done by someone else (who
may have 'got the idea from you guys'. If this is the case, then I say
it's really a bad move from devilfish.
I've been posting here in yahoo-groups for some time and I've cheched
the new blue forum. To it's clear that there can be only one forum
(the other one must go) and yahoo-groups should be closed after people
have decided which forum will be the forum. So, one place to rule them
all.
Elektron should also support this decision by informing people of it
via elektron friend-newsletter and providing a link to new forum.
So what we need now is a practical and rational conversation of the
forum options (I think it should be done here, not in any forum yet).
For a start it would be nice to see what Scott and other people have
created, so we can see how it looks like (and more importantly what
can it do. Contests-submissions? Faqs? so on).
I think forum is the way, yahoo-group can die. I would want to see
options. If Scott's forum is reasonably functional, I would prefer it,
because they started it earlier and have done more communicating to
actual users (asking opinions and such).
So, what do people think?
Toni.
ps. I realize this is very hard conversation to go via e-mails and
such. Stay rational, let's try to avoid flaming, right?
