I'd like to take a moment to say "UPS are bastards".
I'm canadian, and I've ordered a ton of things from
the states. UPS always has the highest most expensive
'handling fees' etc etc blah blah blah. It's also
beyond me why they charge me Canadian sales tax on
things from abroad - you can bet the swedes wouldn't
add the pacific sales tax on...

I always find that waiting a little longer to let real
postal services handle involves less ass-raping by
UPS. The worst case I remember was, I bought two rack
mount pieces for $50 USD each, and the import fees
from UPS totalled $60 USD.

fsckers.

Oh, I def. agree that the UPS brokerage rates are crazy! I guess
that's the whole cost/speed tradeoff . . .

As for Canadian sales tax on imported items, I've had to pay that on
items shipped by other services, too :(

Anyhow, maybe this is becoming off topic ;)
