Here's another pattern jam, can't stay away from this machine :) not much joystick action here, more muting and un-muting + a virus and EMX are involved. http://www.nmisystem.com/music/torn.mp3

Heh, nice work again! Sort of a hardsteppy-trancey kinda tune. Maybe you could deepen the mix with some reverb and synched delays? Some panning of the individual instruments wouldn't hurt, either. Give us some more MnM-only stuff, man! We need to explore the limits of the Mighty Mighty Monomachine. I'll kick down some stuff eventually. I've got a whole slew of patterns written, but I'm still learning the song sequencer. So I won't be an armchair critic for the rest of eternity ;) This time the cats were grooving in their rocket ship with bobble head environmental suits on, on their way to their secret base on Pluto. /Scott On Jan 17, 2005, at 12:48 PM, Andy Tarpinian wrote: > http://www.nmisystem.com/music/torn.mp3

Aight, how bought a drum n bass tune all on the mono? I haven't heard anyone go near this genre with the mono so far, and I've been waiting since the betas to take a crack at it :) > I'll kick down some stuff eventually. Perhaps we could work on it together? Since I've written so much DnB with software, I was staying away from it on the MnM, but it does sound quite wicked. /Scott

hi, i'd like to discern whether or not my monomachine's lockups are a product of the operating system. the elektron website only has os 1.05 - would any of you kind souls be willing to share os 1.04 or 1.03? i'd really appreciate it. thanks! -- yours, niall. .. . . . . . . . . . aleph null. a simple insinuation around silence. http://syncretism.net .. .. gpg public key - http://www.aleph-null.net/niall.gpg .. ..

Here's a couple of mono only patterns I put together tonight just playing around. http://www.nmisystem.com/music/blackandsilver.mp3

Want to play with it soon though, the global mute status for tracks switching between patterns takes some getting used to, but it's nice to see it looks like you can program mutes in song mode.

I like the mono cuz it's quick and you can just lay things down and try different things, and then go back and tweak sounds.

However, I am in the middle of a move. So, I can't play with it much. The few hrs that I have spent on it, were super fun, and I find that I can build a grove fast! I have started a break beat track, and can't wait to free up two channels, which I have used for percusion, as soon as my MD is hooked up. Do any of you all use it as your main sequencer? I love the UI! -M

Here are a few more, these were all just one night each getting to know the mono jams. Mono in pattern mode, live mutes, joystick etc.... http://www.nmisystem.com/music/battleseq.mp3 http://www.nmisystem.com/music/battlestar.mp3 http://www.nmisystem.com/music/torn.mp3 - (this one has a bit of virus and emx) This is a new one that I haven't posted to the list before http://www.nmisystem.com/music/thecollective.mp3 Normally I use logic but I'm having too much fun with just the mono :)

Sounds good!! Did you do all the drums on the MnM? I know what you mean the MnM is so simple to program. I can't wait to have all my gear hooked up. I just moved... and all my gear is stored at a friends place. %_% So where are you located? Do you play out? -M

^_^ I got just about 99.9% of my shit moved into my new place. I am so happy! I am moving into a large space where a bunch of producers, dj's and artist live... It is a huge space. On New Years they had 6 big rooms open. You got to check it out the Ney Years count down. http://otherworld.ws/nye05/ Maybe we can work on some stuff together, and do a live set at my place... Awesome! Dude move to SF... lets team up. J/K.. I am glad to hear that you are into Breaks as well. The Monomachine fits the job so perfect. I'll soon me moved in, and have a internet connection at home. It would be awesome to work on a track with you. How could we go about working on a track together? Who knows one day we might have both of our MnM's hooked up doing a live show. -Micah --- In elektron-users@yahoogroups.com, Andy Tarpinian <evildead@n...> wrote: > On 1/28/05 4:46 PM, "finite_sf" wrote: > > > > > > > Yup I am going to be livin it up!
