MD Tempo increases when Triggering patterns

MD Tempo increases when Triggering patterns

2005-02-18 by monads

I'm using external sync (tempo) with sync ctrl set to off. This is so I can slave tempo from
my sequncer and trigger patterns. But when I do this I notice the BPM on the MD increases
5 BPM at start. For example I have it slaved at 110 bpm (visible on MD) after a couple of
bars I introduce the trigger (midi note on). The MD goes from 110 to 115 and then back
to 110. It's clearly audible. Anyone else have or notice this?

What are you slaving to?

Digital Performer 4.5. It syncs tempo on playback correctly but as soon as I Trigger a
pattern (from DP), the MD speeds up then adjusts back to what it was originally synced at.
Am I doing something wrong?
