Elektron Musical Instruments

How much did you have to pay?
If you live in Canada or The United States, please post the total you
paid for the "Customs Duty Fee" then the total of the Duty Fee and
MonoMachine SFX-6 together. I really need to know how much money in
total that I'm going to need in order to purchase the MonoMachine
SFX-6. Thanks in advance for your help.

check out the MnM order page.  it states that for US customers, there 
are
no duties.  they are pre-paid and included in the price.  I don't know 
about
canadian customers, though.

I remember when I received my Machine Drum I had problems with 
Customs Fee.  I forgot how much but it was a big hassle in the US 
with UPS handling it.  I wrote them a damn check (UPS brokerage or 
some crap) upon delivery.  Cool, months later I get a letter from UPS 
saying I'm deliquent on my account?  Luckily I saved copies of 
everything.  

I fax them the info, and what happens after I confirm receipt of the 
documentation?  They lose the crap and send my more deliquent 
notices.  This must of went on for 5 months, everytime a different 
person calling me from UPS saying they don't have the documentation I 
sent...me sending it, and the same crap happens.

I better not have this problem with my SID.

Yes cuz before elektron did not pay the customs fee, I had a similar issue
with my SID years ago. Now they do take care of the fee.

you should be fine.  I had the same nightmares as you when I had my Sid
repaired.  I fought with FedEx for three months (they're not supposed to
charge duties on an item sent back to the manufacturer for repair).  now,
Elektron doesn't use FedEx anymore and they pay the duties prior to
shipment.  when I received my MnM, it was all set to go, no worries.

Thanks guys.  It's just all fees were supposed to be included when I 
originally ordered my MD (around last year January).  I was supposed 
to get a refund according to Elektron, but with all the hassle of UPS 
saying they didn't receive payment I was to the point where, screw 
it.  I paid them, here's proof (cashed check by UPS), stop hasseling 
me, close the damn account/issue type of attitude.

Well, here's my story, ordered SID last friday
afternoon. It shipped from Sweden on monday, UPS man
knocked on my door Wednesday morning, and that's it.
Heck, that's better service than even Newegg :)
