Transmit to logic??

Transmit to logic??

2005-04-29 by johnvager55

Hello

I've made patterns into my monomachine and i would like to get them
into logic ,but when i'm playing the pattern on the mono ,logic
receives no signal !
On the other hand when i use the mono keyboard signal appears in
logic !!

Maybe it should be a thing in the mono menus i should turn on ?

I have been achieving this communication between MM and Logic. Have you added a Multi
instrument to the logic environment.

you may have to create 6 mono instruments in logic.. sounds stupid
i know but this is the only way i've gotten clavia gear to work
properly in logic

i had to put each NL2X part on its own channel and treat it as 4
mono instruments in the logic environment..

I have managed it this way:-

Use Audio Midi Setup and add the Monomachine, when you open logic there should be a
matching Multiinstrument with 16 channels. In the arrange page create 6 new tracks and
then select the multiinstrument tracks 1 - 6 on each track.

If you wish to record the midi messages from the monomachine you will need to record
enable the 6 basic tracks, I usually record 7 as I wish to have the multitrig joystick data.
You can 'demerge multiple midi recordings' (look in recording options). Once you have
recorded you should have seven tracks of midi data, which if you play it back through the
monomachine will sound similar to the original depending on your use of paramenter
locks and other data that is not transmitted by midi.

The record enable button switches on midi thru for each track. Hope you have solved it
already.
