do i understand correctly that the UW flash rom will hold the samples 
after power down? or do you have to reload/resample every time you 
turn it on? confused.

The ROM will hold the samples even after turning it off.  It also has  
a bit of RAM to do on-the-fly sampling (sorta like the Kaoss Pad's  
two sample buttons) which will be lost after powering off.

Or at least I think that's how it works.

question for daniel, can you import wave files with bit rates other 
than 12bit or should these samples be resampled (soundforge dosent 
support 12bit)

in the video on sonicstate.com, owland referred to
16bit/44khz audio.  the samples are probably companded.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
