Mine only reboots when I send midi signal to it when it's booting. That mostly
causes it to reboot.

how in the hell are you using a cz-101 to control a sid?
and why are you using batteries?

Well, you see, on the back of the CZ-101 there's a little patch point
labeled "midi out". And on the back of the SidStation there's a very
similar one labeled "midi in".

Er, because I don't have a proper power supply for it.

maybe i should have phrased my question differently...ahem...WHY the hell
are you using a cz-101 to control a sid, although, i know cz-101's are
famous for thier control.

er, a $15 power supply would probably stop your sid from restarting.

It's not the ideal controller, I know. I just don't have any other working
devices that can send a midi signal.

The SidStation is being powered by the power supply that came with it.
It's the CZ that I don't have a proper power supply for.

even using the proper power on the 101 might stop some glitches.

and i think you meant "triggering" instead of "controlling"

guys, guys! technicalities...all of it.. :) calm down a bit would ya?
triggering, controlling...what ever. Does it really make that much
difference? ether way...its a reaction to a midi stimulus :)

I too get the reboot at times..I combat midi gremlins by turning the sid on
first, and selecting a patch, then powering my other shit.
