Sysex MnM MD

Sysex MnM MD

2005-07-12 by finite_sf

Where can I get the original sysex for the MnM, and MD? I looked at the EWlektron support
page, and they have the OS updates, and the C6 util for d/l. However, they do not have the
original patches for the two machines.

I also noted that when I do a sysex send from my MnM or MD to my computer via my 828 I
do not always get the same size of the recived sysex dump. Is this normal?

Anyone know if there is a easy way to manage the patches for the MD, and MnM for Mac OS
X?

Thanks in advance
- M

I am now running all the curent OSes. I backed up my sysex of my system, and now want
to listen the the default tracks, as they were wiped out when I got it.

When I put the unit into sysex recive original i then sent Elektron_SFX6-60_OS1.05c.syx
via the c6 util. However none of the original track, patterns are not there. Any one know
where I can get them, or what I am doing wrong?

Thanks!!

finite,

i'm working now so i can't tell you the exact keystrokes, but you need
to go into the bootloader menu (the one where you can select to load
the new OS file) and do a system reset. one of the reset options
doesn't reset to EMPTY but rather resets to the original patterns which
should pop out of ROM...

Did I just dream that I did this before? give it a try :)

Got it! Cool... so my next question is I backed up all my work via Sysex, and I want to save
some of the original MnM patches/kits to play with. How to I load my old shit up, with out
over writing the patches I want.

Depends on how you backed up your old stuff. If it was patterns,
just do a global -> file -> sysex receive and specify 'spec' to name
a specific place you want to load your stuff. It's all in the manual
in the Global section.
